Mill Bank Wellbeing Centre
We are a supported housing scheme for homeless families located in the heart of Preston, providing safe, stable accommodation for those experiencing crisis or transition. Our service comprises 36 self-contained flats and is staffed 24-hours-a-day, ensuring continuous support, reassurance, and guidance for all residents.
Our dedicated team works holistically with families to help them rebuild their lives, offering personalised support across a wide range of needs. This includes assistance with securing long-term housing, managing finances, accessing education and employment opportunities and improving general wellbeing. We place a strong emphasis on helping families integrate confidently into the wider community, encouraging positive social interaction and connection.
To promote learning, wellbeing and community cohesion, we offer a varied programme of groups and activities both for our residents and for the surrounding neighbourhood. These include gardening sessions, stay-and-play activities, drama and dance workshops, men’s and women’s groups, a weekly walking group and a creative art group. We also regularly celebrate cultural events, reflecting the diversity and strengths of the families we support.
As an inclusive and welcoming service, we encourage individuals from all backgrounds to join our activities and make use of the support available. We work closely with local partners, agencies and community organisations across Preston to ensure families receive coordinated, holistic support that meets their full range of needs.
Our mission is to provide not only accommodation, but a nurturing, empowering environment where families can stabilise, grow and move forward with confidence.
