The Filo Project small group day care
The Filo Project is an award-winning not-for-profit organisation offering small group day care for people with early to moderate dementia and other age-related challenges, including isolation.
A Filo day takes place in a host's home, providing a warm and welcoming space where lasting friendships are made. Home-cooked lunch and transport are provided, enabling people in rural areas to join.
Carers can benefit from up to six hours of respite during each Filo day, and their complementary Filo Family Support Service provides additional guidance and support for families and carers.

Cost / Free
The Filo Project's home-based group days can be funded in two main ways:
Privately – Many clients choose to pay for their care directly. Their team can talk you through the costs and available options.
With support from adult social care – If you or the person you care for meets certain eligibility criteria, your local authority may contribute (partially or in full) through a care package or direct payments. These can be used to fund a Filo day. -
