Family Autism Service
A partnership project with Child Action Northwest and Spring North, offering support for families across East Lancashire including Blackburn with Darwen with a child/children up to the age of 25, seeking or with an autism diagnosis. The project's primary objective is to offer low level support to parents/carers, and families with the focus on two key areas of support: education on autism and strategies to support parents. Examples of service delivery are:
- Parent support group
- Autism Awareness Sessions
- Cygnet (6 weeks autism course)
- Workshop on relevant topics
- Wellbeing Sessions
- Social Activities for Families
The sessions are offered in different formats for example face to face or online throughout different times of the day.
The service operates through submitting a referral (self or professional) which can be found on the CANW or Spring North website.

There is cost to general sessions, however some costs may apply for social activities, which are paid direct to the activity provider -
