Genesis Care
We are a daycare support centre for older people and those living with dementia and other disabilities.
There is a dedicated team of qualified staff, with a wealth of experience in supporting individuals with differing degrees of disability. Those who attend the centre are mainly people aged over 55 looking to maintain their life skills and give their family carers respite from their caring role.
Genesis also supports carers. Some of our staff have had personal experience of being carers, so we are very aware of the stresses and strains of being a family carer 24 hours a day. We therefore feel it is important to provide carers with additional support.
We do this with a monthly support group meeting at a drop-in café. The support group allows carers to meet others in a similar situation to obtain information and to share experiences. Carers are able to socialise and have a snack with the person they care for in a stress-free and friendly environment. We also provide information and can signpost carers to other organisations.
Service users pay a fee to attend the wellbeing centre but we organise fundraising events which allows us to have contact with church groups and the local community.

Cost / Free
Standard day care rate is £67.
Carers' Cafe is free with donations welcome. -

We offer a free taster day for anyone wishing to sample our day care services.
