Village Agent - Rural West Lancs villages
The Lancashire Village Agents Service provides early intervention and prevention support for adults in rural parts of Lancashire. It supports residents with low-level needs, helping them stay independent and connected without requiring formal social care.
Village Agents are community-based practitioners who offer practical support to individuals and groups across rural areas. They help connect people with services, resources and agencies to address a wide range of needs and challenges.
The role of a Village Agent might include, but is not limited to, supporting older adults, families and caregivers who may not know where to begin when seeking help. Village Agents assist in locating relevant information and services. By collaborating with various agencies, they bring additional resources and expertise to ensure a holistic approach to rural wellbeing.
The service is free and confidential, designed to make sure that those who need a bit of extra care and practical support receive it when they need it most.
