Brain Health Breakthrough CIC
Established in 2018, Brain Health Breakthrough CIC is a not-for-profit organisation led by individuals with lived experience, dedicated to supporting people facing complex health challenges, disabilities, and energy-limiting conditions. We specialise in supporting those affected by often misunderstood illnesses such as Long Covid, ME/CFS, brain injuries, and chronic neurological or fatigue-related conditions.
Through our peer support groups, counselling services, wellbeing activities, retreats, and community projects, we provide a vital lifeline for hundreds of individuals across Lancashire and beyond. Our online and face-to-face services create safe, inclusive spaces where people feel understood, supported, and empowered to rebuild confidence, connection, and hope.
Our mission is to strengthen communities by reducing isolation, improving mental health and emotional wellbeing, and encouraging active participation in local life. We believe that no one should feel invisible because of illness or disability. By offering trauma-informed, person-centred support, we help individuals develop self-advocacy skills so they can confidently communicate their needs to healthcare professionals, employers, family members, and wider support networks.
At the heart of our organisation are the values of innovation, trust, and empowerment. We are committed to creating compassionate, inclusive services that recognise the unique experiences of every individual while promoting dignity, resilience, and community connection. Through lived experience leadership and collaborative support, we continue to champion understanding, equality, and improved quality of life for those too often unheard.
