Foundations
A safe place to stay is vital to breaking the cycle of homelessness. Our supported accommodation gives you the stability you need to rebuild your life, with dedicated support every step of the way.
Foundations is based in Preston and has 16 individual flats for adults aged 18+* experiencing homelessness. Each of our flats has their own front door and space and offers:
- A safe, secure environment with visitor policies that residents appreciate
- Shared site with regular support from our dedicated team
- Security presence during overnight hours for peace of mind
Foundations residents also receive additional support by way of:
- Named support workers who get to know you and do what they say they'll do
- Weekly check-ins including flat inspections that residents find reassuring and helpful for move-on preparation
- Practical help with benefits, budgeting, and life skills
- Educational support including college liaison
- Emotional support through on-site counselling when needed
- Move-on planning with realistic preparation for independent living
- Average stay allows time to rebuild and plan next steps
- Dedicated support team based on-site during office hours
To be considered for a flat at Foundations in Preston, you need to apply through Preston City Council who will assess if you meet the criteria. * Please see below for more details on how to do this.
