Compass Bloom Central & West Lancashire mental health support teams
Who are we?
We are a mental health support team serving Central and West Lancashire. Our education mental health practitioners work within schools to support children and young people with their mental health needs. As a low-intensity service, we focus on early intervention, supporting those experiencing emerging or mild to moderate difficulties.
What do we do?
- Deliver one-to-one, CBT-informed, evidence-based interventions for low-level mental health needs, including anxiety and low mood
- Facilitate group sessions focused on managing worries
- Provide workshops on topics such as sleep, transitions, emotional awareness and wellbeing
- Deliver assemblies that promote positive mental health and emotional wellbeing
- Support children and young people in accessing appropriate services at the right time, including signposting where needed
- Work directly with parents to support their child with transitions, anxiety, low mood and sleep
What to do next?
If you feel your child may benefit from support, please speak to school about a referral into our service.
